The Moral Middle: Netanyahu’s Speech

Share

Nancy Pelosi said Netanyahu’s speech was full of “condescension” and an “insult to the intelligence of the United States.” What she didn’t say is that the agreement will keep Nuclear weapons capability away from Iran.

Rep. John Yarmuth said: “This speech was straight out of the Dick Cheney playbook,” What he didn’t say is that the agreement will keep Nuclear weapons capability away from Iran.

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) said: “I think he had circular reasoning.” What she didn’t say is that the agreement will keep Nuclear weapons capability away from Iran.

Two of the House Democrats derided the speech as “political theater.” What they didn’t say is that the agreement will keep Nuclear weapons capability away from Iran.

Rep. Peter Welch (D-Vt.) said:I was hoping to hear something from the prime minister that would justify why he came in the first place to give this speech, two weeks before his election, and why he arranged this speech totally behind the back of the White House with Speaker Boehner,” What he didn’t say is that the agreement will keep Nuclear weapons capability away from Iran.

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) said: “I thought it was a stick in the eye of the president. I really worry about the consequences of some of the rhetoric he used,” What he didn’t say is that the agreement will keep Nuclear weapons capability away from Iran.

President Obama, The Vice President, The Secretary of the State, Elizabeth Warren, and many members of the Congressional Black Caucus boycotted the speech. What they did not do was ensure us that the agreement will keep Nuclear weapons capability away from Iran.

The point is: Keeping Nuclear weapons capability away from Iran. Everything else is simply evading the issue. Partisan politics needs to take a back seat when we talk about nuclear holocaust.
